LECTURE SERIES: 80 YEARS OF CONTEMPORARY ART (4/4)

The first of a series of 4 lectures on the challenges facing contemporary art (the others will take place on 26 January, 23 February and 22 March), this meeting with the Honorary Director of the Musée national d'art moderne-Centre Pompidou will focus on the years 2000-2020. At a time of trade liberalisation, globalisation embodies the interdependence of economies in which cultural and artistic contexts are emerging, ignored until the decolonisation movements, and relayed by unprecedented systems of communication and dissemination of knowledge.
