A festival of musical rarities featuring 16th-century sound experiments, little-known composers such as Robert Valentine and Charles Haenni, musical festivals and the popular mandolin tradition in Italy.
The Flatus Association is a non-profit-making cultural organisation that also runs a musicological research centre (CRM Flatus) and a publishing house.
SUNDAY 16 JUNE - Church of Muraz
- 5.30pm: Aubade by the Amicale des Carillonneurs of Muraz
- 6.00 pm: ‘Tous en Choeur’: Choral auditions open to the public: medley of canons in front of the church. A participatory project run by ‘Lire et chanter’. Scores available at www.flatus.ch
- 6.30pm: ‘Poésies d'ici et d'ailleurs’ concert: Works for soprano and guitar by F. Schubert, E. Cordero, H. Villa-Lobos and Valais composer Matthieu Constantin. Valérie Beney, soprano; Mathieu Constantin, guitar
- 7.15pm: ‘Composers of today’ concert given by the Empreinte vocal ensemble, conducted by Michèle Andrée Epiney
WEDNESDAY 19 JUNE - Church of Muraz
6.30pm: Chamber music concert by the Conservatoire's ‘Flute Players’, winners of the Entrada at the Swiss Competition. With the participation of L. de Vinci's first students of the crack flute.
