Denis Severin

Denis Severin teaches cello at the Haute École de Musique de Genève and the Haute École des Arts de Berne.

Passionate about teaching, he directs various pedagogical projects at the Jazeps Vitols Academy in Riga, the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, the Gdansk Music Academy and the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. He regularly gives masterclasses throughout the world (Germany, France, Brazil, Ukraine, etc.) and has sat on the jury of prestigious competitions.

The winner of numerous prizes (Grammy Awards 2007, Echo Klassik Prize 2015), Denis Severin performs as a soloist with major orchestras (Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Ukrainian National Orchestra, Archangel Chamber Orchestra, etc.), and has an impressive discography.
