Miniatures and haikus

In 2024, the Rilke Foundation acquired the collection of Sophy Giauque (∗ 1887 in Biel, † 1943 in Lausanne).
Rilke discovered Sophy Giauque's artistic work at an exhibition in Bern in 1925. Several paintings were temporarily on display at the Château de Muzot above Sierre.
Sophy Giauque's collection will be studied in collaboration with experts. The temporary exhibition, consisting of four display cases and digital documentation, will provide a first glimpse of the wealth that remains to be discovered.
