Founded in 1959, then taken over by two brothers, Christian and Reinhard Schmid, in 1991, the Weinschmiede winery currently cultivates 2 hectares of vines, two-thirds of which are located in Salgesch and the remaining third in Sierre.
Their special feature is the way their vines are supported by dry stone walls, which never fail to surprise visitors.
