Tour des Stations 2024

Le Tour des Stations

Sierre

The Tour des Stations routes cross the enchanting landscapes of the Valais and the Swiss Alps, from vineyards to high mountains, passing through natural pastures, small authentic villages and internationally renowned resorts.

Whatever the length of the challenge (over one or more days) and the length of the route chosen, the Tour des Stations is the promise of linking exceptional resorts in a grandiose environment with an extraordinary "vertical drop per km"! The event sets itself apart by offering a challenge that is unique in the world: "To measure yourself against the vertical drop of Mount Everest in a single day". However, everyone has the choice of climbing 'their own summit' from among the six routes on offer, with, as with any climb, guaranteed thrills at the start and tears of joy at the finish.

MEDIOFONDO
74 km and 2900m of ascent
With its short, explosive profile, the Mediofondo is the perfect alternative for many. Whether you're looking for your first major challenge on a road bike, setting yourself a goal in a more complicated season or just getting your heart pumping to set a time, the Mediofondo route has it all! What's more, it features the main 'signature' sectors of the Tour des Stations, with the now legendary gravel sections of the Col du Lein and the Forêt Verte, finishing in style at the summit of the fabulous Croix-de-Cœur.

MARMOTTE GRANFONDO
133km and 4700m of ascent
If you want to test yourself on a stage worthy of a Grand Tour, the Marmotte Granfondo route is for you. After the serpentine Col du Lein, enjoy around twenty kilometres of flat before leaving the plains for good to tackle the climbs and iconic sectors of the Tour des Stations: the Mur d'Hérémence, the Thyon 2000 alpine pasture road and the crossing of its garage, the terrible green forest and finally the sumptuous Croix-de-Cœur.

SUPERFONDO
185km and 6800m of ascent
Have you already taken part in a number of granfondos and are you beginning to feel the urge to go ultra? Then it's time to move up to the next level, but perhaps the Ultrafondo route still scares you a little? The Superfondo has been specially designed for you! First of all, test yourself against the imposing start of the Ultrafondo the Everest with the "Col du Lein - Ovronnaz - Mayens-de-la-Zour" link-up, then follow the classic Marmotte Granfondo route from Bramois.

ULTRAFONDO TEAM
