Opening at ZONE 30 ART PUBLIC

Join us on Wednesday 30 April at 6pm for a preview of the new exhibition at ZONE 30 ART PUBLIC.

The "Fichtre Bastidores" exhibition will then be on view until 17 June 2025.

Meaning ‘backstage’ in Portuguese, ‘Bastidores’ also evokes frames in Spanish, symbolising the structures of works in the making.

During a recent trip to Brazil, Fichtre reconnected with a practice of drawing and writing in notebooks. Poetic writing then took centre stage, revealing highly personal sensations sketched out and written on the pages, instead of a richly illustrated travel notebook. Presented here in windows that become veritable windows onto the intimate, these drawn words echo the urban settings in which they are shown.
