Founded in 1979 by René Güntert, Biocave is a family-run business, with René's son Marc assisting him in the vineyard and winemaking.
René Güntert has been committed to respecting nature from the outset, producing his wines and cultivating his vines without the use of chemicals. What's more, when he discovered by chance that his techniques corresponded to the specifications of "Bio Suisse", he decided to obtain the label, acquired it... and renamed his winery "Biocave". That was in 2004.
