Cave la Fournaise

The La Fournaise winery lives up to its name, as a real sculpted devil stands guard at the entrance to the barrel cellar, which is housed in one of the winery's old borsari cellars.

Founded in 1993 by Joëlle and Philippe Epiney, the La Fournaise winery grew out of Philippe's early experience in the wine trade, which he had been practising since 1970. Today, Joëlle and Philippe vinify 23 wines, each bearing a name carefully selected to highlight its distinctive character, which the owners are keen to explain. As members of the Veyras wine-makers' association, they are involved in the vinification of the "Puissance 5" blend, which is worth discovering during a tasting session.
