Marc-André Elsig knew that one day he would have his own museum. Today, he has no fewer than 600 bicycles, 2,000 jerseys and hundreds of cycling-related objects of all kinds.
When they enter his museum or one of the depots where Marc-André Elsig stores his collection of bicycles, the many cycling enthusiasts are immediately amazed: more than 600 bicycles, of all kinds, retrace the history of this means of locomotion born in the 19th century.
Although most of the items he has acquired have greatly increased in value, he categorically refuses to part with them. The director of the Tokyo museum unsuccessfully offered him 15,000 francs for a bike he bought for 1,500 francs at the time.
