Tomorrow's winegrowing in the Valais will have to face up to some major challenges: adapting to climate change, motivating the next generation of winegrowers and modernising the vineyards while preserving them. How do we face up to these challenges? And what will the Valais winegrowing landscape of the future look like?
The Musée du Vin asked seventeen people to project themselves into the future and talk about their visions and desires. These testimonies form the raw material for the exhibition, which is illustrated by six illustrators: Hélène Becquelin, Fichtre, Ambroise Héritier, Julien Loutz, Pauline Lugon and Benoît Schmid. Their works offer a range of dream, fantasy and desired scenarios.
The Musée du Vin's new exhibition combines historical and scientific contributions, artistic creation and a reflective, participatory approach. From grape varieties to soil maintenance, from the landscape to innovation, the exhibition takes current concerns as its starting point to present ideas and desires for the future.
