If you are originally from Sierre, you’re sure to have a few memories of the Hôtel Atlantic. This establishment, ideally situated at the entrance to the town, has been renovated since 2019 to become an ibis Styles hotel
As we walk through the doors, we receive a warm welcome from the manager, Sébastien. Originally from the Haut-Plateau region, Sébastien spent a number of years working in the hotel and restaurant industry abroad before returning to the area. Four years ago, he took over the management of this establishment, with which he was very familiar, with the aim of revitalising it and giving it a second lease of life.
The hotel decor is contemporary and includes numerous details referencing Sun City: the exposed aluminium evokes memories of Alusuisse, the colours and decorations are reminiscent of nature and the surrounding mountains and a collection of pictures serves as a reminder of the former Hôtel Atlantic.
The restaurant space “ÀTABLE” has wonderful surprises in store. With homemade dishes and local produce, a cosy wooden hut and theme evenings (gin, raclette, fusion cuisine, concerts, etc.), there is plenty to enjoy here.
Its decor inspired by the specific features of the town of Sierre, which gives the hotel its own special character and offers visiting tourists and locals alike an immersive break in our beautiful Sun City.
